Context
A leading multinational communications, advertising, public relations, technology, and commerce holding company faced challenges in managing customer-related work and collaboration efficiently across its global operations. The diverse and complex nature of its projects, coupled with the need for seamless integration of various applications within its ecosystem, necessitated a comprehensive solution. The client required a robust Project & Workflow Management application that would not only facilitate efficient project management and collaboration but would also serve as a centralized repository for all applications used across the holding. This repository needed to be easily accessible, with features for storing, indexing, categorizing, and exposing applications to relevant stakeholders.
Solution
To address the client’s needs, a multifaceted approach was taken, focusing on the design and development of a comprehensive application leveraging Figma for high-fidelity designs, a cohesive design system, and thorough design research. The solution comprised several key components:
  1. Data Visualization & Design System: Advanced data visualization guide was composed to help users analyze and interpret data effectively. A comprehensive design system ensured consistency and coherence across the application, reduced assembly costs, and allowed to quickly adapt the entire product solution upon the holding’s division needs.
  2. White-labelling Solution, Multi-account and Multi-permission System: The application was designed to support white-labelling, allowing it to be customized with the branding of different entities within the holding. A sophisticated multi-account and multi-permission system was implemented to cater to the complex hierarchy and varied requirements across the organization.
  3. Configurable Dashboard with Custom Widgets: A personalized dashboard was developed to provide users with a quick overview of their projects, tasks, corporate news, and important notifications. Custom widgets allowed for a tailored experience, catering to the specific needs of different ad agencies and user roles within the app.
  4. Project Board & Workflow Canvas: These features enabled teams to create, progress, and visualize their projects as well as workflows in a dynamic, interactive canvas, facilitating better planning, tracking, and execution of tasks.
  5. App Builder: An intuitive app builder was created to allow teams to develop and customize applications specific to their needs without extensive coding knowledge.
  6. Admin Panel: The admin panel facilitated the management of users, permissions, and application settings, ensuring a secure and efficient environment.
  7. News Portal, AI-based Helper, Onboarding Hub, DevHub, and Boilerplate: These components were integrated to enhance communication, provide AI-driven support, streamline onboarding processes, offer development resources, and provide templates for common tasks and projects.
